Romsley Sun Inn

The Sun Inn
In January 1904, Major Baker and his wife Florence, came to Romsley to run the Sun Inn. Their busy days were when the Albrighton Hunt met at Romsley, or on Sundays when up to 50 cyclists might arrive for ham and egg breakfasts. Major Baker's second wife, Eveline, died in 1929 and there is a foundation stone to her memory in the wall of the nearby Methodist Church. Major Baker died in 1942, aged 63.
